Diving
Curaçao is one of the Caribbean’s top diving destinations. The coral formations at Mushroom Forest and the cave-like Blue Room are unforgettable spots for anyone looking to experience underwater life up close.
Sea Aquarium and Dolphin Academy
Located on Mambo Beach Boulevard, the Sea Aquarium lets you get up close to dolphins, sea lions, and tropical fish. It’s a fun place to learn more about the marine life around Curaçao.
Klein Curaçao
An uninhabited island about an hour and a half by boat from the southern coast. With its powder-white beaches and crystal-clear waters, it’s a paradise for snorkeling, swimming, or simply enjoying the peace and quiet. Don’t forget to bring sun protection, as shade is scarce.
Hiking Mount Christoffel
The island’s highest peak (372 meters) offers stunning views over Curaçao and the sea. The climb takes about two hours and is most beautiful at sunrise, when the temperature is still pleasant.
Off-Roading Along the North Coast
The northern side of Curaçao is rugged and untouched. In an off-road vehicle or buggy, you can drive past caves, salt flats, and deserted bays. It’s an adventurous way to see the island from a different perspective.
Landhuis Chobolobo
Scattered across the island are historic country estates that reflect Curaçao’s colonial past. Some have been converted into museums or restaurants serving local dishes. Landhuis Chobolobo is famous for the liqueur Blue Curaçao, which is still produced here.
Shete Boka National Park
Along the rugged northern coast, you’ll find a series of inlets where the sea crashes spectacularly against the rocks. Boka Pistol and Boka Tabla are particularly impressive. A visit here gives a striking impression of the ocean’s power.
Colorful Willemstad
The historic center of Willemstad is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Stroll through the neighborhoods of Punda and Otrobanda, admire the pastel-colored façades, sample local dishes at Plasa Bieu, and explore the many murals and galleries.
